===== First 50 Weeks - Initial Distribution =====

Prior to release, there will be a snapshot of the Bitcoin blockchain. All Bitcoin holders during the snapshot are able to claim free Hex anonymously. No registration is required to claim. As a base rate, for every 1 Bitcoin you hold, you are able to claim 10,000 Hex (**1BTC:10,000HEX**).

===== Bonuses =====

After release, for 50 weeks, there are massive bonuses for claiming. These additional bonuses are on top of the base amount of Hex you are awarded.
  * **Referral** - Earn 20% from anyone that claims using your referral link.
  * **Speed** - Earn 20% bonus by claiming in the first week. Each additional week beyond the first week reduces your claim bonus by 0.4%.

===== Penalties =====

In addition to the bonuses there are also penalties built into the Hex claiming system. These penalties were added to redistribute tokens from whales and exchanges back to Hex users.
  * **Silly Whale Penalty** - Claiming with 1k-10k+ Bitcoin triggers this penalty, which reduces claim by 50-75% depending on size. Reduction in claim gets paid to the staker pool.
  * **Gox Me Not** - Notable exchanges with provable wallet addresses, like Mt. Gox, have been blacklisted from claiming.

  - Open Bitcoin wallet and follow instructions provided by the [[https://go.hex.win/claim/|Claim Tool]]
  - Paste resulting signature to the Claim page
  - Press submit
